Anyone who moves to the country soon realizes it doesn’t take many acres to justify an essential piece of equipment: the compact utility tractor. Moving gravel, grading the driveway, digging a hole, and many, many other jobs are no longer work. They become part of the fun of being on your homestead.

John Deere has just introduced its new 2025R compact utility tractor to provide customers with an easy-to-use, versatile machine designed to tackle a variety of jobs. Equipped with a tried-and-true, Final Tier 4-compliant diesel engine, the completely redesigned 2025R improves productivity, uptime, and serviceability.

Ease of use. The 2025R comes equipped with TwinTouchTM foot controls, allowing the operator to select speed and direction of travel with the light touch of a toe. With the addition of the optional Auto-Throttle, the operator can automatically increase or decrease engine speed while pressing on either of the TwinTouch pedals. The 2025R also features equal forward and reverse ground speed which, when combined with the TwinTouch pedals, allows for faster direction changes. It’s all designed to reduce operator fatigue and increase productivity.

Designed for comfort. “Comfort, reliability and productivity are key considerations impacting our customer’s decision when purchasing a compact utility tractor. When redesigning the 2025R, we focused on incorporating features that met these needs to provide customers with a powerful, durable machine,” said DeMark Cole, Product Specialist for Compact Utility Tractors.

The 2025R operator station has been equipped with features to increase comfort and visibility. The controls are repositioned and color-coded for easy identification and convenient operation. The cushion on the new seat is 2 inches thicker than the previous model and features armrests and full-seat suspension. A new sloping hood design gives great visibility.

Attach and go. Operators can quickly install and remove implements on the 2025R, reducing time spent switching between tasks. Customized implement configurations – a total of seven different combinations available – decrease time spent installing and removing implements in preparation of a task.
